Simultaneous interpretation – oral translation in which the communication in the target language is conveyed at almost the same time it is spoken in the source language. It is most often performed during press or trade conferences using modern communication and amplification systems.

Whispered interpretation – simultaneous interpretation in the immediate presence of the recipient without using technical devices. Usually performed during business meetings with only a few participants.

Consecutive interpretation – interpreting during which the interpreter translates what the speaker says passage by passage, adapting to the speaker’s pace. This type of interpreting is most often employed during international political, trade and diplomatic conferences.
